We’ve started to read The Martian Chronicles in Tech Theatre, and I’ve got to say, I’m really impressed. Even though I’ve always been more devoted to the acting side of theatre, I’m seriously considering asking Mr. Small to be the sound designer for the show. It’s really audio-intensive, and I’ve been thinking up a lot of ideas dealing how we could really transform the Black Box into more of a 3D space with sound. But since auditions for the cast are in about ten days, I’ll have to decide soon…
AND, for anyone that’s interested, Charlottesville now has a new male a cappella group. After an unsuccessful attempt to get it off the ground a few years ago, the Testostetones have resurfaced at Charlottesville High School, and are getting ready for their first concert on December 8th. I can’t tell exactly how awesome we’re going to be, but we will definitely be awesome. Watch out, Academical Village People - we’re comin’ for ya.
