A while ago I posted a link to the Lycos 50, a daily column that comments on recent web activity. I’ve never denied the continued excellence of the site, until of course, today. You see, the article for this weekend, “The Web’s Love Affair with Anime” is riddled with errors. When you have an internationally acclaimed column, and you have additional reporters working on your articles with you, you would think you would check your articles fairly closely for accuracy. Apparently Dean Tsouvalas doesn’t think he is up to that challenge. Paragraph five everyone, paragraph five. Rumiko Takahasi?! Takahasi?!?! I can understand a mistake of this nature with other languages, but the different between si and shi in Japanese is quite distinct, especially when everywhere her name is printed, it is printed as Rumiko Takahashi. No, it wasn’t just one typo. Oh no, my friends, that mistake was made twice, meaning he was just plain wrong. NOT ONLY THAT!! He seemed to think InuYasha was a story about a boy that traveled back to feudal Japan. Trust me, you cannot mistake Kagome for a boy, whatever culture you’re from. Ha, like he’ll ever read my email.

So, I got me schedule today, and I have mixed feelings. For one thing, I don’t know who my teacher will be for History or Physics (they haven’t even hired everyone yet) and I don’t have Mr. Wainwright (yes, I know that’s probably spelled incorrectly) for Pre-calc! I went from having both math and computer science with him to having nothing with him. Ok, I’ll just post it and then talk some more about it:

1st: World History 10-H (Unknown)
2nd: Physics I-A (Unknown)
3rd: Intro to Theatre [TA-ish thing] (Small)
4th: English 10-H (Irani)
5th: Precalculus-H (Pellow…)
6th: French III-A (Saunders)
7th: Acting (Small)

No major complaints aside from the unknown teachers. I wish I had theatre every day, but this just means Tuesdays and Thursdays will be awesome. So far, it looks like I have Acting with Helen and Lee, and French with Lee. Not many, but more than last year. Pellow, you’ve stolen my Wainwright! Well, I have nothing else to say, except “HOW WILL I KNOW WHERE TO GO IF THE NUMBERS HAVE BEEN CHANGED AND I DON’T KNOW WHO MY TEACHERS ARE?”

The Otakon schedule has been posted though, so I’m happy about that. Except that I’m going to have to wake up at 2 AM next Friday. Oh well.
