I must say, I’m surprised. I never thought a song …

I must say, I’m surprised. I never thought a song could do it, but one had. For the entire time that I’ve been familiar with the Dance section of iTunes, “Heaven” by DJ Sammy has always remained the number 1 song. But on Wednesday, CHS News Live (a video program that comes on every morning at our school where students read the morning anouncements, which plays music before the bell rings) played the song “Dragostea Din Tei” (probably more commonly known in the US as the “Numa Numa” song). I’d never heard it before, but it’s been out for a while. Then suddenly right after they play it at school, it beats one of the best selling dance songs known to man (pop techno or not)? And if would have done so sooner had there not been about three identical versions of the song on iTunes for people to choose from (the same song is taking up three spots on the top ten list). Ok, that was boring, but I feel like an era has ended.
