One day left…

November 1st, 2004 No Comments

Well, tomorrow is the big day. Tomorrow a fraction of the country will go out to vote (that is if the corresponding party hasn’t deemed them unlikely to vote for them and done everything in their power to keep them from voting). Tomorrow the last wave of mudslinging ad campaigns should finally stop. Tomorrow the worlds adhesive supply will be depleted from all of the “I voted” stickers, and we will have to add another thing to our import list. Tomorrow, wait, it will actually probably be weeks before the courts pick the winner, so just forget everything I just said.

I wish that we had multiple TV’s set up in one room so that I could watch election coverage from places like Fox News and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart simultaneously. It’s been a long time since the last election, and I really didn’t even care about politics back then (and now it’s become the cliche of blogs). I hope at least one station has a big board of the US with painted cutouts of the states - that’ll be funny to watch.

I’d better post this or else election day will no longer be tomorrow. But in actuality, go out and vote tomorrow, it’s important. Remember, only you can decide whether to have a president that lies to you, or one lies about lying to you (though what they are lying about may vary slightly with each candidate.
